CSWIP 3.1 Inspector /Co-Ordinator

multi-task, work to tight deadlines whilst maintaining high levels of accuracy is essential.

Moughton Engineering is seeking to recruit a full time, CSWIP 3.1 Inspector Co-Ordinator to work within our busy Fabrication Department.


Core Responsibilities

Responsible for setting of the quality/welding standards within the department and ensuring they are maintained.

Achieve 100% efficiency (planned v actual hours) for the department.

Ensure major project schedule into integration dates are met.

Assist in allocation of project hours

Manage department overhead budget.

Ensures welding procedures and training/testing of staff for required materials used is constantly reviewed and updated.

Ensures documentation completed for all work carried out i.e. MRB’s, weld mapping, WPS creation, consumable control, all settings and weld data for traceability etc.

Complete all necessary documentation is in place according to the requirements.

Ensure job tasks are carried out safely using good working practices targeting zero lost time accidents.


Qualifications & Skills.

Apprentice trained welder / fabricator (would be advantageous)

Experience working in both manufacturing and off-site environments

CSWIP 3.1 Qualified

Previous experience working with a lead/ supervisory role preferred

Trained on MIG/TIG welding equipment

Experience working with TWI Software (would be advantageous, training would be given to the right candidate)


Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for setting & maintaining the quality / welding standards at Moughton Engineering Limited.  You will have experience working in a fast paced environment  coordinating & supporting our project engineers and achieving maximum efficiency & maintain the administration of the Weld Inspection Maps, Logs & Certifications.

In addition, the successful applicant must be able to demonstrate excellent organisational skills, communication skills, a methodical approach to work and good IT skills.
