Regular investment in state-of-the-art CNC machinery enables Moughton Engineering to produce mild steel and stainless steel components to the very highest precision engineering standards.

Working with clients in the energy, food and waste sectors, Moughton Engineering produces everything from one-off reverse-engineered parts to medium volume components in a variety of materials.

The company’s modern, high-spec equipment enables it to manufacture precision parts to the highest quality and the tightest deadlines.

The experienced, multi-skilled precision engineering staff in our machine shop work closely with the fabrication departments, supplying precision components for offshore industry projects, food factory machinery and conveyor systems. This integrated, one-stop-shop approach to machining and fabrication ensures consistency of quality and a fast turn-round.

We pride ourselves on the versatility and flexibility of our machine shop, which can offer a 24/7 service when precision parts are required urgently. We can also re-engineer parts and supply them with a drawing for future work. All items can be provided with a full certification pack when requested.

We also take great pride in our apprenticeship programme, which has helped us mould talented young people into skilled tradesmen.


Precision Engineering Capacities:

The Machine shop has an array of equipment as shown below allowing for parts to be produced to precise tolerances in any material. This is backed up by quality systems compliant to ISO9001:2008 and a seperate QA department with state of the art measuring and checking equipment. Parts can also be finished to any customer requirements such as phosphating & anodising etc by use of our sub-contractors.
