Moughton Engineering provides specialist fabrication and machining of components where the OEM replacement parts no longer exists.

Using our highly experienced team, we undertake replacement and replication projects of all sizes for all industries.

Detailed surveys are carried out on client site locations both on and offshore to ascertain the requirements of the project, other items can be received at Moughton Engineering’s facility where our Inspection team has use of state of the art measuring equipment such as our Faro Gage measuring arm, this allows the existing component to be fed directly into a measurement program and the survey information is then passed on to the design team who transfers the detail creating 3D models.

Using 3D models we can gain accurate information about the product and also provide this to the machine shop where it will be programmed for equipment type and tool path setup, once this is complete OEM Replacement items can be produced for one off or multiple items.

OEM Replacement – Using our inspection equipment:

• Inspect existing components to ascertain key dimensions to tight tolerances.
• Reverse engineer components from the same or a higher grade material dependant on the clients requirements.
• Production of single or multiple components for re-use.
• Creation of 3D models for any future work.

3D Guage measuring arm ‘FARO’ enables the company not only to measure complex parts and components, but also offers the customer the opportunity to check the quality of the parts produced by means of direct model comparisons.
